Caitlin
Happy 2009 everyone! I'm sure you can guess by now that I have delivered which explains the lack of blog posts lately.
Yep! My darling baby Caitlin is here!
I can't believe it! The feeling is indescribable! Whenever I look at her - sleeping, crying, breastfeeding, holding her in my arms - I can't help but marvel that she grew and lived in me for 9 months! It's such a miracle, my beautiful little miracle.
I am now home doing the traditional Chinese 1 month confinement. I have a great confinement lady (Cindy) who cooks yummy food and is a pro taking care of baby. Mum and dad are running around buying food stuff and supplies for Cindy, baby and me. Really don't know what I would do without them! Thanks mummy, daddy... you guys are the best!
It's been quite a tough few weeks - recovering from labor, breastfeeding challenges and constantly in a lot of pain and discomfort. I still have Cindy now to help especially for the night feedings, I can't imagine when she leaves! It's a bit overwhelming and sometimes difficult not to succumb to tears of frustration and depression.
Cindy is leaving in a week and I have yet to learn to change, bath and care for baby. Panic!! For my baby's sake, I will definitely have to get the hang of it soon! By hook or by crook!
Welcome baby Caitlin!
